Dr. Avi Weisfogel Pioneers innovative Dental Solutions for Sleep Problems

Sleep disorders like sleep apnea are a growing problem all over the world. Finding effective ways to treat them has been near impossible. Enter dentist Dr. Avi Weisfogel. Over the past 20 years he has been able to come up with a number of very effective methods of using dental technology to treat sleep problems. He has also successfully treated a number of sleep patients through his New Jersey based dental practice Old Bridge Dental since its founding in 1999. Dr. Weisfogel has done that while still providing award-winning dental care to his patients looking for cosmetic dentistry and standard dental services.

A graduate of Rutgers University and the College of Dentistry at NYU, Avi Weisfogel first became aware of the potential to use dentistry to solve sleep problems while he was in college. He has gone on to do groundbreaking research on the use of dental appliances to treat sleep patients. Dr. Weisfogel has also travelled all over the world to teach dentists how they can use their dental training and technology to help people with sleep apnea and other sleep disorders. His travels, lectures and trainings have enabled him to create a network of dentists who are now prepared to work with sleep patients.

Dr. Weisfogel has drawn on a wide range of sources for inspiration for his work. He credits the book, The Power of Now, as well all Steve Jobs with his attention to detail and ingenuity, for giving him the impetus he needed to succeed. He has also founded several organizations including Dental Sleep Masters to provide guidance for dentists interested in becoming involved in treating sleep patients using oral appliances. Dr. Weisfogel’s efforts have led to much need treatment options for people with sleep disorders.
