Dr. Mark McKenna is a celebrated medical doctor who holds a license in Medicine and Surgery. He was licensed by Georgia and Florida State Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Mark McKenna is a passionate and dedicated patient advocate. He spends a lot of his time working with the patients and communities around them.
Dr. Mark’s educational and career background
Dr. Mark graduated from Tulane University Medical School where he earned a medical degree. After his graduation, he Dr. Mark started practicing medicine alongside his father who is also a doctor. During this time, Dr. Mark established his own company known as McKenna Venture Investments. The company is a boutique real-estate enterprise.
McKenna went ahead to launch Uptown Title, Inc. and Universal Mortgage Lending. He worked tirelessly to grow his companies, and within no time, they had grown to employ over 50 employees. This portfolio of companies specialized in providing turnkey design-build, real estate closing services, and financing.
Over the years, McKenna’s companies were doing well, and he had achieved a lot of success. However, the 2005 Hurricane Katrina wrecked the city of New Orleans and McKenna’s businesses were among those lost in the Hurricane. Although he had suffered a great loss, McKenna was actively involved in the rebuilding of New Orleans by encouraging the development of low-income housing.
McKenna relocated to Atlanta, GA in 2007 and launched ShapeMed. This is a company specializing in wellness and aesthetic medical practice. ShapeMed was doing well, and after a few years, McKenna sold the company to Life Time Fitness, Inc. at the end of 2014. Part of the sales agreement was that McKenna was to serve as the National Medical Director of Life Time Fitness. McKenna served in this capacity until July 2016. One year later, Dr. McKenna founded OVME, a consumer-facing, technology-based, a medical aesthetic company that is revolutionizing elective healthcare.
Dr. McKenna’s personal and family life
McKenna is a family oriented man. His typical day begins by having breakfast with his family where he later heads to work and later returns home for dinner. At night, McKenna trains Jiu-Jitsu and works until late. He is married to Gianine McKenna, and they are proud parents of two daughters.
